Dean's Blacklister? Not in PA!

I opened up my email today and saw this message from the career and attachment office.

"Dear students,

All students who successfully completed the last Professional Attachment (PA) in May/July 2006 are awarded with the Certificates of Accomplishment.

In addition, the top 10% cohort of AY 2005/2006 (PA Sem 1 and PA Sem 2) who performed well in the overall PA are awarded with the Certificates of Commendation (Dean's List), signed by Dean, NBS.

We have provided the names of the awardees for the Certificates of Commendation in the attached file, please check...................."

Given the bad impression that i had created on the second week of my PA, needless to say, i wasnt at the least expecting my name on that list of course. But being a Kpo, i clicked on the attached file nonchalently, and scrolled down the list to see if any names i know are inside.

Just then, i saw my friend's cum ex-colleague's name, 'Tay MX, ACC'

My friend Miss Tay is a Dean's Lister material, therefore it is not surprising that her name is inside.

As a scrolled down a bit further, i saw a really familiar name.

It starts with 'Toh' and the name is 'Hui Zhen' and then confirmed with the course ACC.

WAHAHAHAHA.....

I am a Dean's Lister leh!!!!!! However, only for my PA....

I am usually known to be a Dean's Blacklister throughout my whole 3 years in NBS.... hahaha...

Mystery of the Missing Slippers

Something really strange happened today.

KJ n I just started out blading near the bicycle rental station near East Coast Mac. As we bladed our first 10 metres, i realised that KJ was holding on to his pair of slippers.

"eh why dont you hook it on your waist pouch?" i suggested.

"ok" said KJ, as he bend down a little to hook the caribina with his slippers to his waist pouch.

I started to blade ahead of him while he was doing that.

As soon as he was done, he caught up with me who was at 10 metres ahead. Just then, he felt his waistpouch from behind and said, " eh wait, i dropped my slippers"

"Aiyah... must be you never hook properly la... let's go back to find"

The distance back to where he was when he hooked the caribina was about 15 metres and it took us lesser than 20 seconds to blade back.

However, when we were back at the exact same spot, the slippers were nowhere to be seen!

It started to pour and i bladed back into the shelter while KJ tried to search around the vincinity for his slippers but to no avail.

We sought shelter in Mac and went back again to search the bushes around that place, the nearby drains and even the dustbins! But strangely, the slippers were nowhere to be seen!

This is so weird because there were hardly anyone around us when we were blading, who could have taken his slippers away?

The slippers were gone in a mere 20 seconds!

In any case, we should have seen the person taking away the slippers when we turned back...but who the hell would want to pick up a pair of old slippers?

This is really strange...

We saw a stray cat nearby and suspected the stray cat took them away to hide but reasoned that the pair of slippers would probably be too heavy for the lazy cat to carry within mere seconds...

Could it be a monkey? In any case, the mischevious monkey is real quick...

The mystery of the missing slippers remains unsolved....

Guy meets Girl = Couple NOT

Recently, a friend of mine for 3 years asked me, "Joey, how come we like never had romantic feelings for each other?"

Though intrigued by that question, i answered honestly, "eh, just dont have loh... maybe we dont see each other as potential husband or wife loh..."

With that, we brought up the topic on platonic friendship between a man and a woman. To me, i believe that platonic friendship only exists when there is

1. Absolute abstinence from falling in love with lust ( usually unlikely)

2. Completely no lust right from the start (most unlikely)

3. one party or both parties know the real meaning of wad LOVE is... (most very unlikely)

Therefore, we concluded that platonic friendship between a man and a woman is indeed not easy to come by...

Speaking of what LOVE is... who can really declare himself to be the expert at defining the meaning of this big word?

Though i aint any expert, through my humble experiences in relationships, i shall divulge some deep thoughts about love and relationships...

Falling in and out of love is an everyday thing, done by billions all over the world. Everyday, a new heart is broken, a new love is found and the cycle goes on...

Being in love is like being in a bermuda triangle. You will have no control whatsoever about almost anything that goes on around you and inside you..

One way or another, 3rd party is always ( however remote) the catalyst or core root to an end of a relationship. Another sad discovery.

Since "Nothing lasts forever", relationships and lusts are not spared. So behold, lovers out there...! All I can say is: Cherish the moments.. you'd never know how long it'd be in your hands.

The only true love there is... would be the love a mother could give a child, unconditional, unselfish and pure.

So, pack your 'I love you's' and throw them out the window.

Think again before you say it... Are you sure it's love , and not lust? Or confusion?

Like is better.. Like is so safe.. I like Fried Hokkien Mee.. I like BMW.. I also like ZH, I like Hua Hua, I like KJ.. Like is fine... I like my guy friends.. I like hanging out with them..

But Love is deep dude...

And if you think : like + lust = love.. then you are in DEEP SHIT!

Because: like + lust = an exciting affair!.. while it lasts of course!

Needless to say, to me: Love at First Sight is Complete Bullshit!

Lust you mean.. lust would be fair enough..

You will truly love someone when it comes with no tag that says " expectations".

When you dont expect anything back... absolutely NOTHING.

Even your bestfriends.. would you still love them if whatever little you expected of them was not returned to you?

Like when they disappointed you big time, time and time again...You may still be their friends, but with the angst and disappointments embedded in you, love? I dont think so..

So, Love is seriously deep... hmmm

I've made life seemed loveless and sad on the 3rd day of the new year.

What should I do now? Slap myself?

Alrighty!

Farewell 2006... Hi 2007!

Happy New Year everybody!

Guess what?

I had the 'Best' new year eve ever with Huimin sitting lovey dovey in the cinema counting down to 2007!

We had to watch a movie becos another good friend of ours abandoned us at the ulu pandan Arab Street in search for her ridiculous friend who refused to join us for the night!!!

Unforgivable!!!!!

Anyhow, we reckoned that our good friend had an even worse new year eve than us and decided to forgive her because she drove to Rochor Beancurd at 3am to find us. =)

As we didnt managed to watch fireworks as intended, our good friend drove us to East Coast Park to play sparklers...

We were supposed to display the works of our creativity and guess what picture each of us is trying to make...

1st up... Huimin's creation... guess what is this?

According to Huimin, its a man with a heart.. i guess the picture didnt come out well because we were too slow in lighting up the sticks....

Next up...

MOI creation!

You can never guess what i made...

a Mushroom! Wahaha....

Opps... i heard LAME.

Knowing me, you shouldnt expect anything much la... but hey, it resembles the place that the 3 of us had a sense of belonging to ok? TJ!!! wahaha...

Lastly, i think the nicest though the simplest...

by our good friend...

is a rainbow!

May each day be as beautiful as a rainbow in 2007!

Hopefully.......
