I've been having the runs and occasional stomach upsets since Sunday. I tracked back on the food I've eaten since Sunday but nothing that I ate seemed to be dirty or raw.
So, the haze must be the culprit!
Today is supposed to be a holiday but yet I still went back to school for my project. I'm sure my project group mates will be alright with me staying at home if I were to tell them that I'm sick, but they are so nice that I'll feel guilty if I were to stay at home to rest. And I'm guilty also because the 2 guys have been doing most of the work. They are real smart and it really sucks to be not as smart. So I guess, the very least I could do is to help them and the other girl with the presentation slides.
I think the people sitting in the same corner as me in the access lab all know that I'm having diahorrea judging by the frequency of toilet breaks I have to go during the group discussion.
The toilet breaks became so frequent that I had to ask my dad to come fetch me, in case I lao sai in the train on my way back.
So I went to see a doc at a 24 hour clinic. Guess how much they charged me for pressing my stomach 3 times and asking 3 questions? A whoppy 56 bucks!
The medical fees for diahorrea at my usual doctor will be $30, at private clinic near my house will be $20, , Polyclinic should be less than $10 and Medical centre at Ntu is free!
I should have gone to the medical centre yesterday man!

As I was waiting to collect my medicine, I saw a digital weighing scale and I stepped on it. I used to be XX Kg and recently my bathroom scale registered XX+ y Kg.
At first I thought my bathroom scale was spoilt, so I grumbled and dismissed the measurement on the scale.
But to my horror, the digital scale in the clinic also measured XX+ y Kg!!!

Worst thing is my sufferings for the past few days doesnt seem to reduce my weight, and I cant go for my regular jogs because of the haze!

Yet another example of Bargain Basement
A friend recently commented that she noticed a sudden emergence of couples formed in our school lately. While discussing about the compatibilty of the new couples formed, we wondered if the Girls A, B, C, D get together with Guys E, F, G, H be because girls A, B, C, D are afraid being left on the shelf as this is already their last year before they graduate. My friend said that it is most likely.
Then i was reminded of my old entry on the Bargain Basement. I am amazed at how the Discount Concept relates to our lives every now and then. A recent conversation that i had with Guy E on the msn convinced me of my friend's conclusion and the concept of girls giving guys discount.

Guy E: Late August. During that time when i asked if i can jio you loh.

So when he was in the midst of getting together with his current gf, he was trying out other options as well.

I pity Girl A.
Girl A is a nice girl. Tall and pretty. But Guy E is just an average looking bloke with a nerdy specs, not very tall and a hairline that is receeding to the extend that people may call him uncle.
From a very diplomatic point of view, i would say that Guy E 'tan dio'. But alas, Guy E has the tendencies of a flamboyant playboy.
I'm not being superficial here but if you have read the entry on Bargain Basement, you will understand better. Girl A gave big discounts loh!
Of cos, i also hope that Girl A will not end up like the Sally in the entry of Bargain Basement la..
Before people accuse me of eating 'sour grapes' and being cynical about 'true love', i would like to clarify that no accusations are being made to all the newly formed couples out there. The above example is an observation made to illustrate a real life example of the Bargain Basement. For the newly formed couples that i mentioned, of cos there are some really compatible ones.
But seriously, i really wonder if the conclusion that my friend made about girls getting together with guys in our school cos it's already the third year is true.
Lately, a guy friend of mine commented that statistics showed that 1 out of 4 girls who did not managed to find their lifetime partners in the teritiary education will remain single for the rest of their lives. In layman terms, he was trying to say that out of 4 girls who are not attached in Uni, 1 will become a spinister la.
Then he pointed to the 3 girls in my group, and said," eh joey, see ar, now Jane* is attached, so you have 2 more chances."
Nabeh!
Dont ask me if the statistics are true and i dont know where he got it from.
So what if you managed to get attached to a Uni grad in your last year? Does it mean you've secured a lifetime husband? Confirm wont break up meh? I find the concept ridiculous.
As i let my imagination run wild, i cringed at the thought of Girl A and Guy E in intimacy. Ok ok, i shall stop being so superficial. Maybe it's really true love... hahaha..
So, let us all hope ???????! Hohoho...

Happy 21st Birthday Ah Shan!
Went to Waraku with my og to celebrate Hui Shan's 21st bday yesterday.

The group decided to go Ktv after dinner. And while all of them were still singing happily, i left early to join my girls for yet another surprise for her.
Her actual day is meant for her BF to celebrate for her, so, WE as her Besties had no choice but to hide in her room at home to surprise her when she comes back.
We expected her to be home early as we have already liaised with her sis the day before for her to be home early. But it seems like at the very last minute, she decided to abandon her sis for all the fun at ktv. This ungrateful brat! =( =( =(
So along with her mum, her sis and her dog,
we waited... and waited...
The blurry-head was still singing happily at the ktv in the wee hours until we asked her mum and sis to persuade her back. Shan's sis called to tell her that her dog vomitted blood. =p
But it seemed like the bday girl aka ??? decided to have fun at ktv first, and cry only when she comes back to find her dog kicked the bucket due to excessive vommiting of blood. -_-
Poor dog, ??? doesnt care even if u puked blood! Boo!
Finally, ??? was forced to come back when ?????? threatened that she will not sleep unless she comes home.

Went for my cousin's Solemnisation Ceremony today. It was a lovely sweet affair.. Makes me feel like getting married too.

I've just finished watching this Korean Drama called Full House. I know i'm a bit outdated. The most current hot favourite is My Lovely Samsoon but yet I'm still at last year's hot favourite. Anyway it's really damn damn niceee!
I started watching on Sunday and got addicted to it. Basically for the past few days my eyes were glued to my laptop trying to finish every episode!
I neglected my work just to watch those clips on YouTube, and I was watching it even when i was supposed to be studying for my quiz!
The show is super funny but yet sometimes quite sad. So i laughed and cried, laughed and cried at the same time.
OMG! Irrationality has gotten over me!!!
Wah Lau eh! I think i've gone crazy cos even after i've finished watching all the episodes, i keep going back to watch it again!
Urghh somebody save me from my addiction to Korean drama!
