We want more of Hong Kong!
Deann and me outside our hotel
It was already 11am by the time we came out from the hotel and we were super hungry!
Food, Food, Food!
We went to this place called The Yummy House near our hotel cos we saw Niao Xia ( Peeing Prawns ) on the menu and we wanted to try it. Stanley told me that its a MUST TRY.
So we went in and ordered their breakfast set that consisted of bread toast with scrambled eggs and sausages and instant noodles of our choice of flavour. We also ordered Niao Xia as intended.
While ordering from the menu, we saw the price stated beside the dish as ' Market Price'. We decided to clarify with the waitress.
Us to the waitress: " How much is this Niao Xia?" ( Pointing to the market price tag one the menu)
Waitress: "Oh, Niao Xia is 88 dollars."
Us looking at each other: "that'll be like 18 sing dollars, ok la"
Us to waitress:" ok, we'll have that"
Our food came in a while, the instant noodles has got chicken wings inside. And our Niao Xia came nicely decorated on a plate. Though there were only like 4 Niao Xias.
Halfway through the food, the waitress came and said, " sorry, just now i saw the price wrongly, the Niao Xia is actually 38 dollars per piece. So altogether is 158 for the Niao Xia"
Us: " HUH? but just now u said 88 when we asked den how come now suddenly increase of price?"
Waitress: " Niao Xia is actually very expensive one. and the ones you eating are very fresh. Sorry about the mistake"
Me:" No, but you didnt tell us that before that. You told us 88 and after we ordered the food you jack up the price again. If we know that it's 38 per piece we wouldnt have ordered it."
Wan qi:"That aint fair to us. You cant charge us more for the mistake that you made."
Waitress: " I saw the price wrongly. The Niao Xia are very expensive ones"
Us:"But it's not our fault that you made a mistake, you should be responsible for ur own mistake"
Waitress:" BUt......" and she continues to hover around our table while we were eating and asking us to pay 158."
Me ( Pissed off liao, in an angry tone) : "We want have some peace while eating now, we'll talk about the price later"
This 4 bloody Crayfish taste alike seafood costs hk$38 per piece?
I suspect that she is out to cheat out money because we told them we are Singaporeans.
Maybe we see 4 young girls very easy to cheat, but look who's she's messing around with man!
We aint gonna pay 158!
So in the end we paid only 88 for Niao Xia and ard 30 plus for each of our breakfast sets. The stupid boss somemore gave us a very snobbish look!
What the hell!!!
We walked out of the restaurant feeling pissed off with the lousy customer service again.
Just as Wan Qi was grumbling about how lousy the restaurant owner's attitude was, we saw something very exciting!!!
Filming in progress!
Guess who we saw? I nearly screamed!
Daniel Wu! He's so cute in real life!
I was busy snapping away trying to catch his front view when the babes screamed again: "OMG we saw Louis Ku!"
Me:" Where? How come i nv see???"
The babes: " He disappeared already!"
While the girls were busy ogling at Daniel, i found Louis Ku!
His assistant was spraying water on him to make it look like he's perspiring.
Upclose picture of him. hehe..
We had wanted to take a picture with them but their managers were so protective over them.
So i could only take picture of him from afar. Actually i was not really far from him. I was like only 3-4 metres away from him?
So near and yet so far!!! * Whines*
Since we cant take any pictures with the cuties, we decided to stop hovering around the filming site and moved on with our itinerary.
Next stop: Causeway Bay
In the MTR again...
It was pouring when we stepped out into the streets, so we gotta buy umbrellas at Jardine Crescent and carry it around with us..
At Times Square!
and Lane Crawford!
The things at Times Square and Lane Crawford were to expensive for our already skinny wallets to afford.
So we decided to walk to Happy Valley, home of one of Hong Kong's 2 racecourses.
View of the houses at Happy Valley.. I like it that their houses are on mountains.. =))
At outside the racecourse
The lady told us that the races are closed during the month of July and will only open in September. We had wanted to go in but looks like we were not in the luck!
All the walking made us hungry again, we went to try their dessert at one of the dessert shops.
This is called Dun Dan ( Steamed Milk pudding) . It tasted sweet with a strong milky aroma. I quite like it but the rest find it quite gerlat after a while.
As it was raining quite heavily, we decided to postpone our trip to the Victoria Peak to the next day. We thought it was pretty pointless to go up and see only fog.
So, we went back to Tsim Sha Tsui to get more boxes of Lao Po Ping. We passed by Macau Restaurant and ate there again!
Claypot Seafood Ee Fu Noodles. Very Yummy with the succulent prawns.
After dinner, we went to the Avenue of Stars to watch The Symphony of Lights.
Avenue of Stars
Avenue of Stars has plaques and handprints of famous stars. I dont know who Florence Lim is though...
The pictures i saw on brochures on The Symphony of Lights was very beautiful.
However, as there was very strong winds on that night, The Symphony of Lights was cancelled.
=(
i managed to catch a view of the night scene of.. i supposed Hong Kong Island.
LKF for some party action at Hei Hei Club!
My babes in the taxi.. All dressed up and ready to party!
It was so windy that night that i had to hold on to my earrings in case the strong winds cut it out of my ear lopes!
Cheers to our all girls' trip!
Anyway, Hei Hei Club, were filled with angmohs, expats, ABCs and returning students from the West. From there, we took many pictures with Leng Zais!
Deanie n me with our Leng Zais.. hehehe..
This fella is the bro of a HK guy i met in SG. I saw his bro and i was like so surprised! What a coincidence man!
Stephy n her Leng Zai.. According to him, he works at Citibank.. Oh well..
This is a super long post.. More exciting things on the 4th and 5th day... Stay tuned!
