This is my 1st trip with my longest time friends. The last trip we planned was in sec 4 to stay overnight at Sentosa but i was the only one who couldnt make it! I missed out on all the fun they had on their 1st 'overseas' trip! =(
But heng i never go also la... They were narrating to me how they had a hard time pitching those tents at sentosa and took 3 hours to cook maggie mee in mass tins! hahahaha.... Mass tins leh.. how old school is that? LOL... those were the times when all my pals were all so cute and innocent... hahaha...
Bintan was supposed to be a relaxing getaway but I'm back in Singapore and never felt more tired than before. Serve me right for sleeping so late the night before i leave for the trip. We were supposed to be there for 3 days 2 nights but we came home on the 2nd night because Wendy, Deanne and me had to work the next day... so it was only 2 days and 1 night at Bintan.
Even though we shortened the trip, we felt that it is actually more than enough because there's really nothing much at Bintan to keep us interested for more than 2 days... It is just a place to rest and relax....
Nevertheless, we had quite a bit of fun there snorkelling and playing beach volley. It was our 1st time snorkelling and we actually snorkelled in the rain! We saw lightning and heard thunder while out in the sea and felt quite worried and scared even tough our instructor kept reassuring us ' no problem no problem'. Thank God there were really no problems.
The underwater world was pretty amazing with schools of small fishes swimming among the reefs and corals. Oh we saw clown fishes swimming among the anemones too! And i dived under a little to feel the nemos gliding pass my palm! It was a pity that the water wasnt as clear when it rained. Next snorkelling trip has to be at somewhere with crystal clear seawater! Great barrier reef? heheehee...
Wendy and I had a go for the Indonesian full body massage too... all in the privacy of our own room. 2 indonesian ladies attended to us in our room while we played soft music on the tv and relaxed. =P
We should have exchanged our masseuses. My masseuse was so gentle that i felt like she's tickling me while Wendy's masseuse was pressing so hard on her that she felt like dying. I thought Indonesian massage is supposed to be so gentle and Wendy thought it was supposed to be so painful and both of us kept quiet throughout the whole session! Speak of stupidity!
I'm finally done with photoshopping most of the pictures... Too bad we didnt managed to take pictures of us in snorkelling suits.. we looked pretty funny in the webbers, if that's wad u call them..

that ah tiong cheeko pek kept giving that lecherous look at us. Gross! Stupid ah tiong!

finally reached Bintan after 45 mins

view from the top of the resort...
the infinity pool in our resort...

No pictures of us in bikinis will be shown except for this one that looks blur in the water. haha
Food at Bintan resorts are normal resturant prices. There was nothing much in the resort and we decided to visit Pasar Oleh Oleh which is their so-called town. We took free transport catered by one of the restaurants in Pasar Oleh Oleh called Cafe Idol...

Pasar Oleh Oleh has a few shops that is equivalent to that of a small section of bugis village. The shops there sells the same things and they try to differentiate themselves by selling different colours at each shop. As u can tell, it's pretty boring... so we went back to the resort after dinner.
This is taken the next morning... we were alarmed by this ugly creature placed outside the resturant while on our way for our breakfast.

All we could see were lush greenery inside this cordoned glass house. Little did we realised that 2 reptiles were camouflaging themselves inside!
Some photowhoring at the beach before we set off for snorkelling...
