The Birthday
This is a long overdued post cos my birthday was like many many days back, so my apologies for my long hiatus...
And so my birthday came and went but it was.. i would say quite eventful, cos the girlfriends came to surprise me at my house in the middle of the night! Actually i was quite funny because i already suspected something going on from my conversation with Deanie that night.
Me: Eh, later me and Zhihong going to Dempsey Road to chill out, u wanna join?
Dean: huh, dowan la... later i got sth on..
Me: Orh.. going out with xyx ar?
Dean: yaya..
Me: Aiyah.. xyx then xyx la.. so secretive..
Then.......while waiting for the Buddy to come fetch me. I received a weird sms from Dean.
Dean: Hey girls, i got this feeling joey might just stay at home, take your time bah..
Me: Huh? wad stay home?
Dean: Sorry, i meant val is still at home, cos she stay ard bedok, me, her, sir plus xyx going to have supper at siglap, u want to come? u n Zhihong join us la..
Me: Oh.. i'll ask him later
mins later...
Dean: Eh girl, dont bother liao, they cancelled it.. dunno why..
So i suspected something going on but dismissed it and went out with the Buddy. Because the Buddy was late due to traffic jam, instead of going to Dempsey, we settle at Blisss Cafe near our house.
I dunno how come that night the Buddy seemed to be very busy on the phone, i thought he became more popular.. haha.. and after he received a call from his 'sister' who forgot to bring her keys out, he was told to go home immediately.. so me as his Buddy also went home earlier.
When i reached home, i thought it was weird that my bedroom door was closed as it was normally open. The funny part is when i suddenly saw orange lit up in my room after i locked my front door, i got a fright! I thought 'Gui ar!!!!' Not being stupid ok, i was a bit tipsy ok...
But i was quick to recall my initial suspicion before entering my room, and so as suspected, my girlfriends were in my room! hahahah....
So the girlfriends kinda failed in their mission to make me surprised, but it was all still very sweet my dears, even though this kinda surprise was done twice already among us, and even though it's time to think of new ideas liao!!! lol.... But i still very much appreciate the effort that you girls have put in for me... =)
and so we had a mini slumber party on the 1st few hours of my birthday...
And at night i went out with the crappy bunch for dinner at Tony Romas and chilled out at Global Sounds...
