As the days loomed nearer to Valentines' Day, i got a lil worried about the prospect of spending the day in loneliness without a date. However, when the day is here, i found myself rejecting the opportunity to receive flower bouquets and invites to fanciful restaurants.
And then i realised the reason lies in my reluctance to accept the deceptive fantasy of a romantic date with anyone that comes along. And i realised that 14 Feb is a date that would be called Valentines' Day by lovers and a day meant only for lovers. For singles out there, we prefer to call it Friendship Day.
Since i've decided that i shall have no dates tonight, i hear 'Mr Loneliness' calling out to me. But guess what? I choose to ignore him by calling up 'Miss Self-Pampering' instead. Hair treatment, new hair cut and pedicure sounds splendid to me. =)
