Mystery of the Missing Slippers

Something really strange happened today.

KJ n I just started out blading near the bicycle rental station near East Coast Mac. As we bladed our first 10 metres, i realised that KJ was holding on to his pair of slippers.

"eh why dont you hook it on your waist pouch?" i suggested.

"ok" said KJ, as he bend down a little to hook the caribina with his slippers to his waist pouch.

I started to blade ahead of him while he was doing that.

As soon as he was done, he caught up with me who was at 10 metres ahead. Just then, he felt his waistpouch from behind and said, " eh wait, i dropped my slippers"

"Aiyah... must be you never hook properly la... let's go back to find"

The distance back to where he was when he hooked the caribina was about 15 metres and it took us lesser than 20 seconds to blade back.

However, when we were back at the exact same spot, the slippers were nowhere to be seen!

It started to pour and i bladed back into the shelter while KJ tried to search around the vincinity for his slippers but to no avail.

We sought shelter in Mac and went back again to search the bushes around that place, the nearby drains and even the dustbins! But strangely, the slippers were nowhere to be seen!

This is so weird because there were hardly anyone around us when we were blading, who could have taken his slippers away?

The slippers were gone in a mere 20 seconds!

In any case, we should have seen the person taking away the slippers when we turned back...but who the hell would want to pick up a pair of old slippers?

This is really strange...

We saw a stray cat nearby and suspected the stray cat took them away to hide but reasoned that the pair of slippers would probably be too heavy for the lazy cat to carry within mere seconds...

Could it be a monkey? In any case, the mischevious monkey is real quick...

The mystery of the missing slippers remains unsolved....
