I am seeking asylum in Lee Wee Nam library now!Two Iranian boys wanted to catch me!!!!
This is what happened.
Stephy and me went to Canteen A for dinner after our GE just now. Actually i was the only one eating. Steph was talking while watching me eat. In the midst of our conversation, the 2 guys sitting beside us interrupted our conversation. They dont look or sound like locals. So we assumed that they are exchange students. They spoke in English that has a weird accent.
Guy A: Hello, sorry to interrupt, me and my friend would like to talk to you.
Us ( Thinking that they wanna know more about NTU or Singapore) : Hi, yes?
Guy B: We would like to make friends with the 2 of you. Are you from Singapore?
Me: oh.. haha.. yah.. we are from Singapore. So where are you guys from?
Guy A: You guess?
Me: er.. i really dont know.. ( Continue to eat my Yong Tau Foo)
Guy B: We're from Iran.
Stephy: HUh?
Guy A: Iran. you know Iran?
Me: Oh.. IRAN.. ok.. ( Continue to eat )
Guy A: oh we find you girls very pretty.
Us: er... oh ok...
Guy B to Stephy: You look like an Arcttresss.
Stephy: huh?
Me (smiling): He said you look like an Actress.
Guy B to Stephy: You know who? Angeelinaa Jooliee
Stephy (looked at me) : Huh? i dont understand? look like who?
Guy B repeated: Angeelina Jooliee
Me (nearly choked on a Tau Foo) : Hahaha... he said Angelina Jolie la!
Stephy: No la.. if i look like angelina jolie the guys after me will queue until there already (points to a stall some distance away)
Steph rolled her eyes at me went on to answer her phone nonchalently.
Guy B (Paiseh, points to my food): So is this a local dish?
Me(still entertaining him) : ya.. can get it from the 2nd stall there.
Stephy put down her phone and looked at me, giving me the "eat faster la" look.
Guy A: So do you girls know of any dance clubs in Singapore?
Stephy: Zouk
Guy B: Oh.. so do you girls like to dance?
Me: Sorry i dont like to dance.
Steph(totally cant be bothered): ya
Guy A: We would like to go to dance clubs and wanna ask you girls to go dance.
Stephy: When you go there got many girls you can dance with.
Me(laughing): haha.. yaya
Guy B: No, we only want to dance with you girls. How about this weekend?
Me: Sorry we have no time...
Guy A: But it's during weekends. Not school days..
Stephy (looking at me): Oie, ??????
Me ( hurried to gobble up my food): okok
Just then i packed my bag and stood up: Sorry i gotta go meet my boyfriend now.
Guy A: Oh you have a boyfriend?
Me: yes. Bye!
Hahahaha....
WAhhh....Angelina Joliee!
My Best friend looks like a HOTANG MO leh! Mai Siao Siao! hahaha....
Steph went off to meet her FYP prof, leaving me at North Spine to wait for my friend for the recruitment talk. The talk is at 6.30pm. I've been here since 6pm. It's 7 pm now and my friend is still not here yet!!!!!!
Anyway, if anyone of you out there wanna sell hall bash or whatever bash tickets, i have a suggestion. I think you can go sell them to this 2 guys. They really prefer to dance with NTU undergrad girls than any girls in clubs.
They are masters scholars living in the Graduate Hall.. Maybe can try selling the tickets at the Graduate Hall. I dont know their unit though.. Just go try your luck la... And who knows they may introduce their lonely friends who prefers to dance with NTU girls to buy the tickets as well. So people who are desperate to sell away their hall bash tickets, go try your luck at the Graduate Hall!
Good Luck! Woohoo!
Now where is my friend????????????????? ROARRRRRR!!!!!
It has been a while since the last time i hanged out with my family on a lazy Sunday. It has really been quite a while... Seriously, i've forgotten the last time my whole family went out on Sundays...
My weekends for the past few months were spent working, partying, working. Yes, i was working on weekends even though i was having my internship at that time. Basically i worked everyday during my 3 months long break. I needed to be occupied badly at that time...
When school started, my weekends were occupied with birthday parties, outings and what not. Somehow i always have things on during weekends for the past few weeks.
My mondays are hectic days in school, so basically on most Sundays when i'm free, i'll be at home trying to rush all the assignments and catching up with my never-ending, long overdued readings.
I think my parents have gotten used to me and my bro being unable to join them for outings on Sundays. Most of the time they will just go out together without us. And i've also gotten used to being alone at home without them.
Maybe i've forgotten how nice it used to be to go out with my family during the weekends. I vaguely remembered the times i rejected my mum to go out for dinner because i was too preoccupied with my never-ending readings and assignments. Even though i recall now that she had been asking the same old question routinely for the past few months...
Last Sunday, my mum asked me if i wanna go temple to pray, and so i said," why not? But i need to be back to rush my assignment after praying hor!"
Mum," We going to the Food Fair.. u wanna go?"
Me,"Huh... so many people dowan lah"
Mum,"ok loh, we send u back after temple loh"
Last Sunday was also one of the rare occassions that my bro was free. So off my whole family went to the temple to pray.
After praying, I decided to change my mind to join them for the Food Fair at expo.
I'm glad i joined them....
Because if i hadnt, i would have missed my dad's smile when he let me drive his car. The smile that was brimming with pride and love...
If i hadnt, i would have missed how blissful my mum looked when she laughed at a stupid joke i cracked...
If i hadnt, i would have missed how comical my mum looked when she clumsily dropped the piece of beancurd she was trying to eat from the plate that 4 of us shared...
And if i hadnt, i would have missed my bro's silly chuckle when he passed me the Uzumaki cone wrapper which i insisted to keep because the damn icecream costs $4...
I ended up not doing any work at all when we reached home. I was too tired.
But i think it's worth it even if i have to another pile of never-ending readings to clear.
Because i know the smiles and laughter for the day is priceless...
I found something interesting on my email. This is something to learn about... I never knew handphones have so many functions!

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:
*EMERGENCY*
The Emergency Number worldwide for **Mobile** is 112.
If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. **Try it out.**

*Subject: Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote keys?*
This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:
If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
Editor's Note: *It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!"*

Subject: Hidden Battery power
Imagine your cell battery is very low, you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery.
To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.

How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:
* # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.
You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either.
If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.
To all teachers and the fellow tuition teachers out there, Happy Teachers' Day!
Today, I received my 1st teachers' day presents!
I received 2.
One from the tuition centre as an appreciation gift on teachers' day and the one that is wrapped up nicely with a ribbon was given to me by the naughtiest kid in the class. =)
I have been teaching 6 primary one kids at this tuition centre for about 2 months. I think i made a mistake by being too lenient and kind to them on the first lesson. Nowadays they think they can climb up to the top of my head. =_=
The usual scene in class is always rowdy and this particular korean girl is always the most talkative and the noisiest in class.
She always get warnings from me but surprisingly on teachers' day, she's only one who gave me a present.
Today, despite her effort to give me the present, she got reprimanded by me again for folding paper boats in class and disturbing others with her constant loud singing. She sounds cute but you try teaching her then u tell me if she's cute.
Anyway, she continued folding the paper boats and making a din in class about the big A4 coloured paper which i refused to give her. So, i told her that i'll give her the coloured paper if she could finish a particular question.
She gave me a pouty look, covered her face with her hands, put her head on the table and started to whine very loudly again... sounds very cute again but u can try teaching her.
In the end, i persuaded her to finished one last question and gave her the big A4 coloured paper that she wanted and she's all smiles and friendly to me again.
I used to detest kids, well... noisy kids in particular. And, I always say that i'll just give them one tight slap.
But in truth, kids really do have their very innocent and adorable side.
And in truth, i wouldnt have the heart to slap them...
